Hey Dean, can you please post the ‘Typical Envision Day’ sheet?

Yes…the “Typical enVisionMATH Day” is now posted under the enVision tab.

    Dean,
Where can we find the graphics associated with the text for each grade level? I saw a packet of graphics that one teacher had for a Math Focus Wall. Looks like something teachers would love.

Hi Hope..I don’t know where to find those. I haven’t seen anything like that. You might try a Google image search???

Will instructional coaches be given any updates or training on the concept lessons ? I’ve gotten quite a few questions about the lessons and have no idea what to tell teachers.

As of now, there are no trainings scheduled on Concept Lessons.

Help! I’m already behind! My pacing is off, but how do I catch up??

Hi Margaret….I think assessing both readiness and progress can help you pacing your remaining topics. Also, how might you provide lessons or experiences that address a bigger “chunk” of standards..this could be another way to make up for lost time.

    Dean,
My first grade teachers are wondering where the topic opener goes. There is not a day set aside for it in the MIG. They really like the introductory stories and want to have time for it. Any suggestions?

  •    ld3math  |  October 1st, 2009 at 2:10 pm

Hi Jennifer…The topic openers go on day 1 of each topic. But they shouldn’t take the whole lesson, so in many cases you can begin lesson 1 on this same day.

I’m having trouble seeing & downloading the assessment calendar. Do you have the tech support number?

  •    ld3math  |  October 24th, 2009 at 9:13 am

Hi Tina….the assessment calendar is on this page…just below the MIGs…if you can’t download it from here, send me an email to dean.simpson@lausd.net and I’ll email it to you.

    Hello Dean-
My computer won’t read the 5th MIG and I was wondering if you could try and email it and maybe that would work. Thanks!
